 We have an English learning chat room in China. I am looking some christian room adminstrators who can help people speak English and introduce Jesus christ to unbelievers there . There are 50 - 100 young Chinese college graduates try to learning English there all the time. If you know some one who intereste that please let me know.

CELEA January 2011 Update

The end of the year is fast approaching. In many parts of the country, the land is white with snow.  And while we may not know what the future holds, we are confident of His providence.  CELEA is hoping and planning to become more active this coming year.

At the Boston Convention, we discussed the possibility of expanding the coverage of CELEA to others beyond the shores of the US, and beyond the membership of TESOL.

Whilst Skyping Frank this morning, I had a weird experience (and no, nothing to do with Frank per se!!).  Initially, I seemed unable to make contact with him, until a short text message appeared telling me that he could hear me, but that he had no mic. to speak into.  We then had a 20 minute exchange (not sure whether one can call it a 'conversation') whereby I spoke and he typed.  The 'weird' thing was the lack of feedback - or minimality (?) of feedback - that this provided to me, the speaker, and the consequent sense that the conversation/exchange is incomplete.

Now that you have access to the CELEA site, you may be asking what it is that you can be doing here at CELEA.  Currently, users can post on the forum, view content, pariticipate in polls and invite friends.    After logging in you can use the "Invite a Friend" link and add the email address of people you know who would be interested in joining our little site.
